biography.
For my 9th birthday, I asked for Photoshop. Of course, it was just so I could make "fan edits" of Hannah Montana, my idol at the time, but because of it, I was introduced to design at an early age. Only a few years later, I set my sights on New York City and decided to leave my sleepy Texas suburb and move to the big city. In 2015, I was admitted to the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, where I later graduated with a BFA in Advertising Design & Digital Design.
In July 2019, I moved to Los Angeles and began working as a Junior Designer for Tandem Entertainment. I designed high-quality presentation decks for an expansive portfolio of clients, including Walt Disney Studios, Quibi, Funny or Die, and more. I also assisted in brainstorming potential branded partnership concepts for clients and developing brand identity.
In June 2020, I joined Brat TV as their Content Strategist. I managed all aspects of the company's social media platforms, including strategy, content creation, copywriting, scheduling, posting, and community management. From creating engaging content and fostering community interaction to developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies, I ensured Brat TV could connect with fans on a deeper level. In two years, my videos brought Brat TV roughly 348 million views on TikTok. Once I took over, Instagram Story impressions grew 23%, averaging at about 115,000 per post.
While at Brat TV, I enjoyed working directly with talent on-set to create TikToks, YouTube videos, and other social content. I used my graphic design background to help design YouTube thumbnails, posters, album art, and other marketing materials. I also worked closely with on-set photographers to organize promotional photoshoots for Brat TV shows. I worked on several partnerships with brands, including MAC Cosmetics, Nike, Adidas, Mars Wrigley, and more.
I left Brat TV in October of 2022 to pursue an opportunity in talent management at Stagecoach Entertainment, where I worked for five months. Ultimately, I discovered that talent management was not the right path for me, and I am now pursuing social media and design jobs in the entertainment industry.
